Teen fellowship event beginning at Fortified Fitness at 203 Southpointe Court. We are excited to partner with Fortified for the third year in a row. We will enjoy team challenges and games as we build community and relationships.

You may pick your teen up at Fortified at 7:00 or pick them up at Cook Out at 2919 S. Rutherford Blvd at 8:30. We are planning to take any who wish to attend to get ice cream after fortified. The ministry will cover the cost of a milk shake for each person. If they want anything else they will need to bring their own money. .

We will have dinner somewhere near the avenue. Will confirm where and let all who register know where to meet.

I will transport everyone from dinner to Color Me Mine in the Avenue after dinner. 

You will pick them up at Color Me Mine at 9 pm. 

We will cover dinner, the studio fee, and $15 for each persons pottery selection.  If they want a piece that is more than $15 they will need to bring money to cover the difference.

Don’t forget to stop by the Foster closet this coming Saturday, July 30th from 10am - 12pm to find anything the kids are needing. You can bring them with you and let them choose items or just come and shop. Please bring bags to carry your goodies home in if you can. There is no charge for your families to shop at the closet so come and enjoy.

We have a culinary chef student from MTSU who has contacted us about teaching some cooking classes.  The first one will be our teen events for this month and he will teach them how to make their own signature pasta and sauce.  After the fun of making the pasta we will all have dinner together and eat what they made and play some games.  This is a great opportunity for fellowship, fun, and to learn a new life skill.

If your teen has dietary challenges and needs a special kind of pasta please let us know and we will purchase that if our chef is unable to accommodate that.  The teen can still learn to make pasta and join us in the fun and then have their own ready to go for dinner.

Stars and Strikes in Smyrna is once again, generously, hosting the DCS Christmas party for all Mid Cumberland and Davidson County foster families. Make sure to register using the button below so we know how to prepare. Each child will be given an arcade card to play games(no tickets will be earned), bumper cars, laser tag, and bowling so they can enjoy these activities as much as they wish. Pizza and drinks will be served and each child will have the opportunity to visit with Santa, and then receive gifts. This event is for all the children, of all ages in your home. Whether they are foster, adopted, kinship, or biological, all are invited.

We are thankful for the community partners who love to serve your families.

If there are changes to your household between now and this party please edit your registration and let us know that you made a change so we can be sure to make the change on our end as well.

The Foster care family parade is in Nashville again this year following this Christmas party so watch for the sign up information on that and make sure you get your family registered to attend that event as well. It’s going to be a great day.

Teen Christmas party fellowship.

This event will be hosted by our Intern, Emma York, at her home.

We will have chili for dinner, please bring a side dish to serve with dinner. We plan to decorate cookies and do a white elephant gift exchange. Each teen should bring one wrapped gift without a label, valued $20 or less. It does not have to cost $20 but we are asking that gifts no be more than that.

As with all of our events this is for all of the teens in your home, foster, bio, adopted.

The teen leadership group has been working on planning an exciting Friendsgiving event for November 9th. This event will be held at New Vision Church - Buchanan Campus. The turkey dinner is being provided by the New Vision Youth Group. They are excited to serve your teens in this way. We will play some Thanksgiving themed games and enjoy time of fellowship with friends.
