I understand that as a volunteer with Renewed Strength, I am expected to:
1. Provide compassionate and supportive care to foster children during respite stays.
2. Respect the confidentiality and privacy of foster families and children.
3. Maintain professionalism and integrity in all interactions with program participants and staff.
4. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure the well-being of all involved.
5. Participate in any required training or orientation sessions provided by the program.
6. Communicate openly and promptly with program coordinators regarding availability, concerns, or any issues that may arise.
I understand that failure to adhere to these policies and procedures may result in termination of my volunteer status with Renewed Strength.
I acknowledge and consent to the following terms regarding the use and protection of my personal information by Bridge Family Ministries as part of my participation in the Renewed Strength program:
1. I understand that personal information collected during the application process and throughout my participation in the program, including but not limited to my name, address, telephone number, email address, and background check results, is necessary for the evaluation of my volunteer application and ongoing participation in the program.
2. My personal information will be used solely for the purpose of administering my involvement in the Renewed Strength program. This includes:
- Assessing my suitability for various volunteer opportunities.
- Contacting me with information related to my volunteer activities.
- Ensuring the safety and security of the foster children under the program’s care.
3. My personal information will be kept confidential and will not be disclosed to third parties without my express consent, except as required by law or as necessary for the safety and operation of the program, including but not limited to:
- Sharing information with law enforcement or other governmental authorities if required by law or in response to a valid request.
- Disclosing information to foster families as part of the respite coordination process, with a focus on the safety and compatibility requirements.
4. Bridge Family Ministries will take appropriate measures to ensure the security of my personal information. Measures include:
- Storing personal data in secure databases with access limited to authorized personnel only.
- Using encryption and other security technologies to protect sensitive data during transmission.
- Implementing appropriate physical, technical, and administrative strategies to safeguard and secure all information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
5. Personal information will be retained only for as long as necessary for the fulfillment of the purposes for which it was collected or as required by law. When it is no longer needed, personal information will be destroyed in a secure manner.
6. I have the right to request access to the personal information held about me by Bridge Family Ministries and to request corrections to any inaccurate or incomplete information.

5. I will actively engage in open and respectful communication with program coordinators, foster families, and fellow volunteers, fostering a collaborative and supportive community.
6. I will remain open to learning, growth, and self-improvement, seeking opportunities to enhance my knowledge, skills, and understanding of foster care and child welfare issues.
7. I will fulfill my commitments and responsibilities to the best of my ability, demonstrating reliability, accountability, and dependability in all aspects of my volunteer role.
8. I will approach challenges with flexibility and adaptability, recognizing the dynamic nature of foster care and the need for creative solutions and adjustments. I understand I can contact program directors if there are any issues I need to discuss or determine how to handle.
