renewed strength Respite care Program
The Renewed Strength Respite Care Program helps to provide temporary short-term care for the children of foster families. We understand that foster parents may need respite care for a variety of reasons from the need to prevent burnout or the inability to take a foster child with you when going out of a state. Whatever the reason may be we are here to support you and your family.
When you register when Renewed Strength Respite Care Program you will notify us when you are in need of respite care. Respite care can be for all your children, biological and foster, or for only some of your children. This can be for a partial day, overnight, weekend or up to a week. We will then pair your family with one of our Renewed Strength Respite Care volunteer families, all of which have been background checked and fingerprinted through DCS and additionally approved by Bridge Family Ministries. A time will then be scheduled for you to touch base with the respite volunteer family either in-person or via phone. We do this in order to create a relationship between you and the respite family which helps prevent your children from feeling abandoned and facilitates a simple and smooth transition between homes.
